This game is often mistakenly by people as soccer. Actually this game is very different to soccer although it is also played by 11 players in each team. This game is called football, the most favorite game of American people and the most popular game throughout the United States.

Unlike soccer, in football there are three types of team, the offensive, the defensive and special team. Each team has its own role in the game. The offensive team is the one who will start the game by kicking the ball. This team consists of 7 linemen and the rest will be the backs. The defensive team is the one who will block the other team to create the goal. This team comes with the formation of the defensive lines, the linebackers, and the defensive backs. The special team will only play in particular time such as when the offensive team starts to surrender. The ball which is use in football is not round, but it is oval and can be touched by the hand.

This game is quite rough since the players tend to hit and crush their enemies. That is why the uniform of the football is completed with the helmet and the protection pads.
